Personally I would've preferred to have seen Kitsch as Mitch Rapp.
Thoughts?
I think Kitsch is too old to play the young Mitch who is supposed to be 22/23 yrs old (in the book anyway). And I know nothing of his acting ability. I think O'Brien is a great choice. He's the right age and a talented actor and I think he matches the description in the book really well.
shareI have a better opinion of Taylor than I think most other people do but he cannot carry a film. I think he's a solid actor but he needs to be a supporting cast member. He should never be a lead and I think he's realized that. Also, he is and looks too old so no, I don't think he would be better. He's freaking 35 (my age). I cannot pull off a fresh out of college young woman. But ultimately, I think he's lacking that special something you need to be a lead actor.
shareAh I didn't realise the character was recently out of college. It makes sense now having Dylan O'Brien as the lead.
Hopefully with this, the fire fighter film and the waco tv mini series audiences will see how good Kitsch is and lead to great stuff for him going forward
After watching Lone Survivor id usually agree but Dylan O'brien is well suited to the role, having both in the same film is something i look forward to.
