Emma's performance
I came on here to make note of an Emma Watson scene in this flick. But the front page displayed review by a "atlasmb" first caught my attention...
"I am not a Bible thumper, but I would like to take a Bible and thump someone on the head with it--namely those who wrote this script."
hahahahahaha
Then later in the same review...
"The most enjoyable aspect of the film for me was Emma Watson's performance."
Yeah. Well, I don't know about enjoyable. I mean, that reviewer might just be an Emma Watson fan. . and we all know what that means.
What was enjoyable? Uh.. that it came on cable TV (convenient!) & my wife bought this wide screen monstrosity a few years ago, which means I get to eat ribs from 'Cookin with Lenny' (best ribs on the planet) while watching what Electric Light & Magic described as "the most complicated rendering in the company's history" all while sitting in my living room lounger. Talk about spoiled decadent!
But, about Emma...
Yes. Well there is one scene. The one after Ila has been informed by Noah that he will murder her baby if it's a girl (ouch!) & then she goes postal on him with this screaming monologue and the camera has a close-up on her face as she screams.
Yeah, ya gotta love the blockbusters. Whatever. But I still say that Ms Watson's monologue there is by far her best ever screen performance. After it, I blurted "They didn't let her do that on Harry Potter!" ... and I'm right, of course.
