Just watched this film....
...after recording it from HBO. And this was the film that had atheists throwing temper tantrums over?

I, too, just watched the film and found no answers. It was an interesting story, however.

Not this atheist I thought the film just ... meh.
I would have preferred a film all about the rock monsters which by far were the most interesting characters.

Which atheists threw temper tantrums? I assumed Christians would've been more likely to object to it because it depicted Noah in an unflattering light. And had rock monsters which were (hilariously and brilliantly) hidden from all the trailers/promo material! I don't know that the more fantastical elements would sit well with modern conservative Christians.
I was half-heartedly raised Christian but consider myself somewhere between agnostic and atheist. I really enjoyed it - pretty bizarre, some powerful images, questionable performances, but for me it's just an interesting adaptation of a story that I'm not at all precious about.
It's hilarious that you would be dumb enough to make this thread, not bothering to do enough basic research to know that the guy who made the movie is an atheist himself.
