Few points in need of enlightenment! (Spoiler)

What did the cross tattoo on Richard's shoulder refer to?
The greyhounds? And Marina's calling one of them 'Camile'?

Besides, did anyone sense some political pinpricks through the lines of Richard and Marina. Their short talk on the fortunate West, Richard's 'kind' rejection to the black gardener and Marina's aggressive 'this is not Denmark' dealing with the nanny when she felt asleep unchecking the kids... Are these pinpricks supposed to mean anything? Any thoughts on this rambling?

Dick Laurent is dead.

Camiel is Borgman's first name. It's how he introduced himself to Marina.

I took the cross tattoo to mean what the husband assumed it to be: He'd been marked for death (or something).

The greyhounds were some sort of minions/messengers (devil dogs?) for Camiel. They seemed to be scouts.

There were definite political jabs in there. Some of them may have been too Euro-nuanced (e.g. the Denmark comment) for an American like me to pick up on, but there seemed to be some definite Western-liberal-white-guilt slathered on with the overgeneralized "prosperous" comment and the ridiculously overt "black" comment. These bits felt forced and ham-fisted to me. I would have felt the same way, were it a caricatured southern American making the comments in 2014.

Denmark has very good and effective unions. Maybe it was a jibe about that, and the misapprehension that a Danish would come to work as they please.

The dogs were Borgmans friends. Borgman and his team were 'Alps' which are shape shifters of German folklore.
