Quite enjoyable, apart from the laughable 'racing' shots/scenes

Comically bad. Cartoon nonsense. Made for people who know and care nothing about motor racing, who are happy enough with any generic 'action' scenes.

I'd hoped they'd put more effort into that side of the move but alas....

Just as disappointing was the sound of the engines. I heard a big block GT run at Lime Rock and let me tell you the sound as it went by made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Ugh, hate when they do that. Like when they put completely out of place engine noises over motorcycles in movies. Why do it?

Imagine if at least the sound people for this movie actually had a clue and insisted on genuine engine noises? Would that have made it better, or worse? It's obviously the former, yet they continue to ruin things and insult everyone's intelligence. Baffling.

I can't recall the user, but there was a guy on youtube who would post security videos of his business when cars visiting a local bar would park on his property and were towed. He would dub in his own sound effects because the security cameras either didn't have sound or he didn't use it.

He would have the Jetson's flying car noises superimposed over cars or people on electric scooters, and when bar patrons who were clearly obese but wearing way too tight clothing struggled to get out of their cars, he would put that noise balloons make when you twist them.. Funny stuff.
