2 boys reminded me a lot of boys in movie Stand by Me

Big time! It reminded me of "Stand by Me" quite a lot. I really liked how it was slow. You don't always need a ton of action to be any good. It was a refreshing movie because you had strong dialogue scenes. I usually say "They just don't make movies like this anymore" and then here we got one.

I thought that too! And it's crazy because I haven't seen Stand By Me in atleast 12 years.. Im 24 now.... And I don't really remember anything specific about it... I just remember all through Mud I was thinking that something about it reminded me of Stand By Me.... This was a great movie... Mccgonohouy is quickly become one of the best actors in the world.

Just watched this movie, and yeah I totally got the "Stand by Me" vibe. Those two boys acting were great. I think Ellis's friend reminded me of River Phoenix a little bit too.

Yep, I agree. Just finished watching it and the first time I saw 'Neckbone' I thought that he looked a lot like Chris Chambers.
