Made some mistakes, but solid comedy!

The multiple tones of Thanks for Sharing are handled carefully and the script has a grounded sense of reality that it clings to, which results in an adult comedy that may not shimmer with perfection, but is enjoyable and has vision none-the-less. Many times, Thanks for Sharing just didn’t feel right, like not everything worked in a “bigger” way, but it’s not bad. Thanks for Sharing doesn’t poke fun at sex addiction nor does it spend time explaining in detail, instead it shows us examples of it. A big risk to take, but it works as it juggles addiction relapse paranoia.

Thanks for Sharing points out the inmoveable object sex has become in our society and pop culture. The film criticizes our dependence and frequent interest in sex. The cast is lovely, Mark Ruffalo is strong, although sometimes cheeky, Tim Robbins supplies many shades to his character, and Pink’s punk-attitude is much appreciated. The film even takes time to make of satire of Gwyneth Paltrow’s personal life objectives, which is fun and matches her glowing, effortlessly charming performance.
