Maybe it's just me, but this seems an odd choice for a first date. You don't really get a chance to have engaging conversation (until after the ride, of course). I would personally prefer this kind of date after a while, or if it was a "first date", with someone that I already know to a degree.

shareUsed to be a movie was frequently a first date. Sharing an experience can go further than a conversation in building a bond sometimes. Also, in this case these are pretentious rich people who engage in a lifestyle that doesn't allow for normalcy. And it's a movie so they needed something with movement to it.
