Just once, I wish someone would google search Schizophrenia.
Spoilers.
Seriously. I'm sick of the mentally ill person being the villain. Schizophrenia does not mean you will flip out and kill your friends. Now, you might be more apt to think running into another version of yourself is all in your mind (if you aren't actively psychotic), rather than reality. In real life, of course, you will have periods of delusion and possibly hallucinations, especially if you go off your meds. But you aren't any more prone to being the bad guy than anyone else. Schizophrenia is more likely to cause self-harm or incite violence against that person than cause that person to commit violence against someone else.
I think the time travel aspect would have been enough, there was no point in having the main character burn his meds. If anything, a nice twist may have been a different person framing him because of the mental illness, and he gets out of his cell and runs around trying to save everyone. He wasn't even having psychosis, as the doppleganger situation was really happening.
It was okay, 5/10.
They're coming to get you, Barbara!
