Is that what you do every time a character does things multiple times in a movie as an excuse to drink? "Well, thats the third time, break out the tequila, iv'e now got a license to binge drink!"

shareNo, the OP is completely right. This is a sign of either bad writing or bad acting. If that character asked her boyfriend about his meds one more time, I was going to give up on the movie!
