Mine Games is now The Evil Within

So they change the title for the DVD/VOD release but now it sounds even more like a inwardly bound psychological horror/thriller rather than a supernatural film.

Why have they done that.... MINE GAMES was a good title for this movie. I liked the movie but its a b-rate title now

reply

Why? Isn't there a game called The Evil Within??? Now im confused. MINE GAMES was a good title

reply

Mine games is a good title if you're into stupid puns.

It's still titled Mine Games on Netflix. Wonder why they changed it for VOD/DVD? Weird. ..

reply

On Netflix it's listed as "Mine Games" but the opening title in the movie is "The Evil Within". I like "Mine Games" better.

It's been playing on Showtime this month as "Mine Games". With no mention anywhere of "The Evil Within".

Interesting. I thought I'd picked the wrong movie when it appeared differently on the opening credits. I backed out to make sure.

I started the movie over on Netflix because I thought I had accidentally clicked the wrong movie - a movie called The Evil Within.

Showtime broadcast the Australian release, 2012. The scene at the gas station was apparently different, as someone posted a question about a bloody girl knocking on the window of the van at the gas station. That scene was not in the Showtime broadcast.

I saw the one titled Mine Games, and it did feature a bloody girl (one of the characters future selves) approach the van while they are at the station. But it's at the end of the movie.

This Is Not The First Time would have been a better rename than The Evil Within, IMHO.

I agree. Catch phrase title works.
