Same Temporal Paradox Issues

All time loop movies suffer this. We enter the loop on the second loop or more. What was the impetus for the actions to begin with? What was the prime mover?

Let's agree that there were 3 Michaels. 1.) in the woods at the campfire. 2.) finishing off his friends before joining Michael 1. 3.) Just arrived at the cabin.

Michael 2 says to Michael 3: "When they lock you up a SECOND time they have no intention of letting you out." Which gives the indication that he died there or was left there. BUT... we know Michael got out then went on his killing spree.

Why did they lock him up to begin with?

We know they locked up Michael 2 because Claire 1 told them that Michael would kill T.J. and lock her up. And of course I can keep going back and back but I won't be making my point any stronger.

So there's the problem. What put all these events into motion to begin with because loop movies would have you believe that past representation of themselves caused everything to occur when that can't be because there had to be a time when they didn't see themselves.

The first time he was locked up was when they first went down into the mines.

Yeah it doesn't work. I was thinking the same thing. If Michael 1 or 2 didn't warn Michael 3 none of this would have happened. So why did it even happen in the first place? And why warn his doubles? Eventually there would be like 10 of him, then 100, etc and then what? What is he gonna do in the forest with 99 versions of himself around a campfire? Why would he set things up so that his friends keep on dying a hundred times in a row? Obviously this is not the way to break the loop. Are we just supposed to think he went crazy and psychopath because his other self told him to throw the meds?
