Unique concept that falls apart
This interesting concept of a movie was lost on the editing floor. Every time a person turned a corner they seemed to be surprised point-blank by one of the zombots...
...Yet it appeared that slapping these creatures enabled most of the Russians to get away in the short term until the proceeding scene -- otherwise the movie would have ended with their first confrontation 20 minutes into the movie. Dimitri seemed to have slapped his way out of several confrontations, even whilst holding the camera with at least one hand.
So the twist is that the youngest of the Russians, Sascha, was ordered by the Soviets to get Viktor's head and bring it back, because Viktor himself said all the secrets of resurrection lay in his cranium.
So if the Russians can resurrect Viktor's head to find the secrets, what exactly do they need to know about resurrection of the dead? If they can
resurrect Viktor's head, they have accomplished it already, right?
The only redeeming point, as some have noted, is that the film whole-heartedly sticks to the found footage paradigm. Every ten minutes, the film goes blank (reddish?), as the cameraman changes a small reel of film.
"I can't help but notice that there are skulls all over everything. Are we the baddies?"
