Very disappointing
Nice premise, but ultimately this was a waste of my time. To be honest: I had more fun watching SS Doomtrooper.
The monsters were cool, Clive Barker-esque. I also liked the sound effects and music. But the acting is very, very bad and the found footage style of filming kills all the tension and excitement.
Another problem is that the movie takes itself too seriously and the director's milking every found footage cliché until it's bone dry. The movie also takes its sweet time to get things going. After 70 minutes we finally get to see the evil monster creator. I already dozed off twice before that.
I won't deny that director Richard Raaphorst has some filmmaking talent, but his Worst Case Scenario teasers looked better than what he presents in Frankenstein's Army.
Watch The Human Centipede instead if you want to see a Dutch horror movie done right.
