The Bagul demon pop out at the end

Anyone else think this was more laughable than anything else? Don't get me wrong, it was a decent enough movie, but I thought the ending was so terrible and contrived, it basically ruined the rest of an otherwise suspenseful flick. It was like the film-makers didn't really think it through too well, and just went for one last cheap scare by having Mick Thomson from Slipknot jump out at ya.

I thought this movie was very good. I actually just finished watching it. I thought the Mr. Boogie scare was unnecessary as well. Should have just faded to black.

It looks a bit sweaty in there so you may need to apply baby powder Zapp Brannigan

The second half of the movie went downhill fast, they had a very good premise going on, a lot of mystery, but they didn't know how to wrap it up in a way that would keep the mystery and suspension. Unfortunately when it comes to supernatural villains or demons, less is more, screen time that is.

"Mr. Boogie" was laughable the very first time I saw him named/pictured in the kids' drawings. I literally laughed once I saw the boogie-down dancing serial killer in action xD

I agree with you. It did startle me but it also sort of ruined it. A quote from CinemaSins comes back to mind "is this one of those cheap horror movie endings when the villain just turns around at the last second and gives me a creepy look *happens* *beep* *Ding!* "

It took a lot from an otherwise well-done movie.

I didn't like that the first time either, but I think they were trying to tie it in to the whole "if you see the images, you're doomed" plotline. He's looking at us directly, therefore we're next. Still kind of a cheap scare but at least it wasn't totally random (I suspect).

I agree, great film but I clocked Bughuul popping up at the end in the attic a mile off, it didn't make me jump as I knew it was coming :D
