Brutally sadistic murders

everyone was alive and totally helpless....as they died...that made it scary

I didnt find them scary at all. This so-called killer enjoyed killing from far away. This is not usual for serial killers. It is FAR scarier when the killer is over you, overpowering you. You are helpless.

The killers were over them, overpowering them. The kids.

I think that what made the murders scary for me was the fact that these possessed children were killing the people who loved and trusted them. No parent ever believes their normal children will do something like this. Not only did these children kill their families, but Buguul led them to kill their loved ones using something the children loved and related to. Ellison's daughter loved to paint on the house's walls. So when she kills the family she paints the walls with their blood. One child's family has a picnic with a barbecue. Next thing you know the family is bound in a car and set on fire. Another family is having fun in the pool. Next thing you know they are bound to chairs and pulled into the pool to drown. There is something very, very evil about the way Buguul works and it's scary.
