A Horror Movie?

To those that have seen it: would you consider this a horror movie at all? Because it looks like more of a drama.

No i would never consider this film as a horror film, its 98% pure drama that's all, if you like slow plodding drama's you might like it.

Might as well show the damn thing on Lifetime.

Definitely not horror; I'm not sure I would go so far as to say it was dramatic, though I guess the genre would be 'drama'. Really, it struck me as the kind of film that might have even started out as a found-footage type, only early on someone came to their senses and decided they wanted at least a few people in the audience with an IQ over 80.

What a douchebag you are... Maggie is as much a horror movie as it is a drama. And there are tons of good horror-dramas - Let the Right One In, May, The Hunger, etc. You are a very narrow-minded person, I feel bad for you.

reply

Absolutely it is horror. It's just more melancholy than most horror movies. It's not an action movie, but it is a horror movie.

reply

Personally I don't think it was a horror movie. The narrative was driven by a father losing his daughter to a horrible disease. The emotion I'd associate with that certainly isn't fear or horror.

That the disease has zombie elements almost seems to be a marketing thing, or cause Arnold needs to hit something, even in a drama.

reply

Not really; more of a brooding drama...
