Jumping off of the roof of a short house would not kill a zombie!

This film was idiotic from start to finish, but the ending takes the cake as one the most idiotic in the history of film.

No way would jumping off of the roof of a short house kill a zombie. But that is exactly what this film implies.

The only way that a jumping method would possibly work to kill a zombie would be if the zombie jumped off of a very high cliff and then died as a result of splattering into millions of pieces.

Well, to kill a zombie you have to destroy the brain. Where I live, plenty of people die from falling from their "small houses" while putting Christmas lights up because they land head first and crack their heads open. I would assume if Maggie hit head first, it would be enough damage to kill a zombie.

Given that zombies are fictional, and therefore there are no rules about killing them, and given that people often do die from falling from such a height, and given that the film has given us the premise of a disease that seems to be enfrailing Maggie, I'm absolutely sold on the fact that the fall could easily kill her.

well since ZOMBIES AREN'T REAL, the writers could imagine her demise any way they want. Maybe she broke her neck from the fall and killed all brain functions. Or maybe she still hadn't turned 100% yet.

Vampire movies haven't exactly followed every Hollywood rule of crosses, garlic, invitations into the home, and mirrors either.

I don't think the 'zombies' in this movie followed the same rules as other zombie movies.
I think they didn't need their brain destroyed they could die like normal.

I would go further and suggest that jumping from the roof of a rural house of only two floors might not even kill a human. In the urban area you are likely to hit hard on cement or concrete. But in the countryside you are likely to fall on soft earth or thick grass. Jumping two floors won't normally kill you unless you get impaled by railings or fences, etc. below.

Then again, we don't actually see Maggie dying- for all we know, the memories of her mom were the last conscious thoughts she had as an infected human before completely turning, getting up and going for daddy dearest.
