Best acting by Arnold....

Arnold knocked it out of the park!!! I don't understand all the hate. He can really act dramatically and this was a great movie.

I have a new respect for him as an actor. He is so much more than "the terminator" or "get to da choppa" and it took some stones for him to take on this roll. He had to know his fans would rip him for not blowing up cities and killing people as usual.

I am so glad to see this thread/post. I LOVED the movie and the acting. A fresh spin on the zombie genre. I LOVE when my favorite actors try something new 99% of the time.

So with you there! I was vastly impressed with the evolution/change of his usual style. A truly unique, gorgeous movie.

I thought they wrote this very well to play into Arnold's talents. He doesn't really have that many lines in the movie and a lot of his dialogues with Abigail (Maggie) utilized Abigail's emotional acting and Arnold's physical reactions as a stoic, imposing, but ultimately wary and unsure father. He was the strong and silent type; this suits him well. And that's not a dig on Arnie, he was efficient and never looked wooden or over the top. I think this is the best I've seen him act. He should do more of these "less is more" roles like this in the future.

I agree with alot thats been said here, I am very glad I watched this. Arnie was my favorite actor growing up and as an adult I realize that back in the day he was not a very good actor. That in no way means I think his movies were bad, but he couldn't do much besides be an action hero. He really has grown as an actor and I can't wait to see him play in another drama in the future.
