The Ever Burning Fire: Is everyone happy now?

So, does everyone feel better now, we have a 2012 incarnation of Tokka? I was never sure what the character's gender was back in the day so I always assumed he was a boy, but I see this time she was a girl and she was pretty bad ass too, to bad she was killed. On a more positive note though, she has also given Raph a new pet named Chompy Picasso and he is really cute although it will be interesting to see what Slash thinks of him (*wink, wink*). It also looks like the Triceratons have gotten the upper hand, even after everything the heroes have gone through. The only option I can see now is to detonate the Black Hole Generator on the Triceratons before they can get it to Earth. This could have a repercussion on the heroes, namely wiping them out although if they stop the Triceratons from destroying Earth then their space adventure will no longer be in play because everything that has happened over the last fourteen episodes (including the season three finale) will all be erased from the time line. I guess we will just have to wait until next week to find out how they plan to close up this arch.

Calling it now: Chompy will somehow become like a traditional Tokka (like how Spike became Slash)

I just hope that A) he's voiced by Frank Welker, and B) he doesn't end up working for Shredder alongside Rahzar. (This Shredder has way too many henchmen as it is)

I was pretty impressed with Tokka's new version. She was pretty awesome as a Gamera homage and a mother.

But how did Chompy get onto Raph's shell? And was Tokka chasing the Triceratons or the Turtles?

Calling it now: Chompy will somehow become like the previous Tokkas (like how Spike became Slash)

I predict that Chompy gets a taste of mutagen, grows into an adult kaiju and lays waste to New York, and so Raph has to end its life. :(

The giant lava rock monster being the 2k12 version of Tokka is just too forced. More character-in-name-only than any other. Would've made more sense for the hatchling to get mutated and still have the mind of a child in a large powerful body and be name "Tokka" by Mikey for some random reason.

I'll call it and say that while Hun scraps it with the turtles, Chompy, riding on Raph's shell, bites Hun's finger. Hun later gets exposed to mutegen and transforms into a turtle monster, with Mikey calling him Tokka, because he hits a naming-block and ends up recycling the original Tokka's name.

This makes sense. Especially since the original Hun became a mutant turtle in Turtles Forever.

Well I was finally hoping for a team of of Tokka and Rahzar and Bebop and Rocksteady to take down the turtles. It is what it is. There are still 12 more episodes left to this season so it is hard to say what will happen. I am interested to know the extent of Shredder's injuries and what is going to happen as a result.

Plus, when showing Tokka and the other cosmic monsters in the galaxy, did anyone catch the picture of Cthulhu? He's on the top right.

I can imagine an episode something akin to the 'Collect Call of Cthulhu' episode of The Real Ghostbusters cartoon.

I found a clip from the episode, only differences being Cthulhu was spelled differently for that episode and he's red in the cartoon. Otherwise everything is the same.

I suppose it's possible that Chompy will become a more traditional version of Tokka, or what if he bites someone who then gets mutated and that leads to a new Tokka if you will?

@ MinimalistLiving: There was a similar creature used in the 2003 series episode "The Darkness Within" that captured the turtles and forced them to battle nightmarish visions of their inner most fears while it fed off of their life force. It was one of my favorite episodes from that series.

Also, there was a cameo for another past TMNT character in "The Ever Burning Fire". Take another look at that screen of the six monsters and you will catch a glimpse of Cudly the Cowlick from the Archie series TMNT Adventures in the upper left. Sweet!
