The Super Shredder Finally Strikes!

And quite a battle it has been so far! Shredder looked absolutely sick in his mutated form, the turtles, April and Karai were powerless aginst him and worst of all, it looks as though sensai Splinter was forced to sacrifice himself in order to finally slay this mostrocity. And it's still not over yet as it looks like the heroes will have to face all of Shredder's leutenants and the remaining elite Foot bots all at once. Either that, or the bad guys are giving up now that their leader has been defeated. The problem is so has the heroes' leader which means that they have reached a stale mate. Hmm, problematic much. What do you guys think the outcome will be and they will wrap this one up? If you are thinking 'return of the Fugitiod' you might be a little off, although it would be nice to see him again. Also, what do you think this unstable mutagen was doing to Shredder with his arm getting all twitchy and elongated like that?

It was a great episode which leaves questions about the abyss that they fell in... the same one the Rat King supposedly met his demise. Because you know they're going to survive.

One thing though, I'm honestly getting bored of Splinter seemingly getting killed during a battle with Shredder. It's happening to often now, and getting too old. Nonetheless awesome ep.

Well, we know that Splinter at least has most likely survived...somehow. I men they wouldn't really kill him off, right? Right?!

I also forgot to mention how Shredder has apparently destroyed the Party Wagon which was now a collector's item. Not to mention that it still belonged to Mr. O'Neil who is going to be as pissed as I am when he finds out.

I just finished watching the episode. It was everything I wanted and more. The stakes are high and not a moment was out of place. Shinigami was here for the first time in a little while. If they bring back the 'Rev. Henry Kane' version of the Rat King for the next episode or so, I'll be even more excited.

This episode provided even more character development for Shredder and really fleshed out a Super Shredder battle we should have seen at the end of the original TMNT II.

This is by far one of my favorite episodes of the series so far, and there's still 6 more to go before we hit season 5. I hope Nick gives us at least the other 6 episodes before they take another extended break to work on season 5's content.

I liked it too!

I also stand corrected. After re watching the episode I realized that the vehicle that was destroyed was not the Party Wagon but the Shellraiser which could probably survive an attack like that, including being set on fire, considering the heavy armor that Donnie equipped it with. It is also possible that Razhar was killed by the subway train, we heard the crunch after all, although Tiger Claw may have survived getting hit by it. And we have yet to find out if Bebop and Rocksteady will fight the heroes or thank them for getting rid of Shredder as it would mean that they are now free from him. Tune in next week!

I am betting Tiger Claw is alive because if Usagi Yojimbo is finally being brought in, and the writers on the show stated it was he who cut off Tiger Claw's tale, then it would make sense to keep him around.

Shredder is one bad motherf--ker in this version. I also loved his depiction in the 2003 version :)

I watched the episode yesterday and IMO, the Shredder might as well been on steroids. I sure hope Splinter survived the fall at the end of the episode. I also hope that they finally defeated the Shredder but I won't get my hopes up.

Yes, he survived, just barely, and then got into an ethereal battle with the Rat King (see my latest thread).
