Great movie, great Batman

First rewatch since I saw it in the cinema. This time I split it over two nights (pausing where Batman and Gordon explore the orphanage - exactly half-way through the movie). Pacing on the first half was absolutely fine; it's definitely the second half where things feel a little slow and drawn out in places.

Pattinson is fantastic throughout though, Kravitz is very good (a lot better than I thought she'd be), Farrell is a revelation, and Wright and Serkis bring their usual class. The only one that didn't work for me is Paul Dano's Riddler. I get he's supposed to be that unremarkable guy who's been ignored his whole life, but I still feel he needed more presence. I never found him truly menacing. Oh, the running gag with the two meatheads on the club door felt really out of place. Other than that, pretty damn great. 9/10

Agree, can’t wait to see the sequel will be like.

I didn't love it, I thought it was too slow, too dark, poorly edited, and so serious and portentous that it was bordering on silly.

However, when I watched it, I kept thinking "I bet the Batman fans LOVE this!". And it's nice that somebody does.

Agreed, one of the best films of the year so far for me.

Also you get a lot of Batman in this film, which is great.

Nolan movies are better. Overall this movie was fucking boring and for a movie that all about Batman being a detective. He fucking sucks at it. I rather watch Adam West Batman and Batman TAS. Because 1) Its Fun and 2) Both of these Batman are actually Good detective.

I liked it but not as much as the Nolan or Burton films
