It would have been a good addition if the movie hadn't already been nearing the three hour mark.
Why is Joker all burned and scarred? It would have been better if he was just beat up from the last encounter, the scars, boils and burns are Two Face's gimmick. The stitches are Solomon Grundy's. Joker is a madman in the comics but he's not a slob.

shareThe chemicals bleached his skin white and dyed his hair green making him look like a clown. I'm not sure they made him crazy either, in many of his origin stories becoming a permanent clown was just the straw that broke the camels back.
