Did Batman STALL the Batmobile?
Or was he trying to intimidate them by lunging forward, a-la Christine?

Yeah, it wasn't clear. The whole scene was awkward. Batmobile starts up like a demon in the shadows and then has an anti-climatic spasm. And eventually just races around like a normal car. I didn't get it. I think it was supposed to be like when you meet a car at a light and challenge it to a race. It didn't pull off well.
shareI disagree; it was a nice little touch in the writing department. Basically since this Batman is still finding his feet it makes sense that his engineering needs improvement
