Sloan always angry

Just finished watching the series for the first time. Overall, it’s a great show, but Sloan is the character I like the least. She just seems so angry in every scene she is in like she is constantly on her period or something. It’s like she ranges between slightly pissed off to fully enraged and never anything lighter. Was that the point of her character?

Actually, I liked Sloan the best. First time I saw Olivia Munn was on The Daily Show. She was shouting about something, I don't remember what, but I thought it was pretty funny. I think a lot of her "anger" is done for comedic effect. She's pretending to be angry, but usually isn't. That's my impression.
