What was the hardest episode for you to watch?

I don't mean a poor episode. I mean, were there any episodes that "hit home?" Considering how the show covered news from the past 4 years, minus season 2's overarching plot, I bet that there had to be at least one. For me, it was episode 1 of season 3. I was just over a half a mile away from the Boston Marathon Bombing on April 15, 2013. I almost turned off the episode as soon as I realized. I nearly cried watching it but forced myself to watch the episode. I had a few friends run in the marathon that year and had just missed the bombing. A couple others who suffered minor injuries. I had another friend who lived around the corner from Copley Square and took in 20-25 people as she did basic first aid and fed many of them. I suppose the episode brought back memories of that hectic week.

The Finale definitely. Charlie was the best part of the show for me.

HEY BABY LOOK AT MY EYES. I LOVE YA BUT I HATE YOUR LIES.

Definitely 5/1. I'm not sure what the correct word is, but the "celebration" scenes of people reacting to the death of Bin Laden were very jarring and uncomfortable for me.

I have absolutely no qualms at all with someone responsible for organising horrific acts of terrorism being brought to account for his crimes, but the reactions of people as shown on that episode really unsettle me.

There's 10 types of people. Those who get binary, those who don't & those who don't expect base 3.

You know that people were partying outside the whitehouse that night. Right? People around the world were cheering and congratulating each other.

That episode was about as real as it was that day.

sim75 is just saying that the reactions made him/her uncomfortable. I felt the same.

Stop! Manners time.

For me 5/1. I'm not an American but at the end where Don ( i think it was him) tells the pilot the news, that choked me up.

And Charlie's death came close to home. My brother died at the age of 46, heart attack. For years i wondered if he knew he was going to dy.

The scene with Charlie wasn't unexpected because i read some spoilers on this board, so the heart attack, the hitting of the head was okay, but then they showed his face, the blinking of the eyes and i started to cry.

I read comments, people saying this show failed. I don't agree.
It had flaws ( high school love drama and one sided politics) but it was entertaining and it got to me on some moments.

Excuse my English, i'm Dutch.

5/1 - I'm not American and I was lucky enough not to lose anyone that day but it still was a devastating day. I'll never forget watching it all play out on TV, being confused and scared and upset. That episode had me in tears.

It's immortality, my darlings

The one before the last one.

Charlie was a sweet old man.

When I'm gone I would like something to be named after me. A psychiatric disorder, for example.

As a black male this resonated with me.

When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness.

Boston and the situation with the missing Brown student. I just watched that episode for the first time the other night.

That was one of the hardest scenes for me to watch - knowing both the family and the end results of that situation.
