Highest rated episode (Season 3, Episode 5), Charlie *Spoilers*
Having Charlie turn on his principles* - after the takeover and him DECLARING the new owner an enemy - is plain unbelievable. But no, that is not enough bad writing, he gets killed by a heartattack to make people feel something, to produce a more impactful ending. That is just cheap.
Even immediately following it up with the "twist" that our protagonist was talking to his imaginary dad in prison. After that heavy-handed jerking on my heartstrings, I really don't mind the show ending.
Needed to be said because tropes are bad story telling, sadly it works, as shown by the episode rating.
*yeah, the finale exonerated him, still looked wrong for the character and erases the reason for him to be so angry he dies. Of course a baby will be born, circle of life, show must go on, blabla, tropes.
