If Newsroom was still around now with Trump...

Much like Jon Stewart leaving the Daily Show prior to the Trump fiasco, this show is SORELY needed now more than ever. The greatest strength of the show was it's ability to shed light on how mainstream news networks have become whores. When CBS CEO openly admits that the Trump thing is terrible for America but great for their profits, it's beyond sad. It's disgusting. And there is no news outlet that will call out the non-sense that is Trump. Even though this is just a TV show, it's still a voice that can be heard, because no other news outlet has the balls to do it.

A total 10! Where was I when this show was on? I just binge watched all three seasons
and want more! Sadly, there is no more and nothing else to fill the void.

Congrats! I just finished binge watching all 3 seasons yesterday. I wish there were more.

Mediocre Marx Brothers is better than no Marx Brothers!

I feel your pain. Just did the same. I have no clue how they could end this after 2.5 seasons. IT WAS GREAT!!

You could just as easily have said:

If Newsroom was still around now with Hillary...

I have not yet binged on the 3 seasons, but I'm about to. But after watching the first three (AMAZING) shows I'm seeing a bias in the writing. My question is: Does the bias hold for all three seasons or so we get to see that both conservative and liberal emperors have no clothes?

Are you still listening or did I kick off a "hey, only the evil right deserves to be inspected"? If not, here's my point.

I loved West Wing (binged on it after missing the first go-around. It was a democratic administration, and the dialog tended to be about articulating the strengths and philosophy of more liberal points of view. OK. Fine.

Now we have a show with a conservative in the lead role. Fine. Except all he's been doing so far is attacking other "conservatives". I would hope for more.

Yes, many of those he's attacking are scum sucking scumbags. But there is plenty of that type running around on both sides of the isle. So is Aaron going to get to them?

Because if not, this show is not info-tainment. It is entertainment, descending into mere oratory. Not a show seeking the truth of things. A well-written presentation doing nothing more than elucidating the author's biases.

I hope that's not true. I hope we get some big picture writing that digs down to the truth... which does not have a political persuasion, and does not polarize the viewers/citizens. Put another way, we have as much reason to be as scared of Hillary as we do Trump. Together they represent Democracy at the cross roads.

So, does Aaron do some equal opportunity truth telling here? Would love to know before going further. Thank you!

News for you, Hillary is just as dangerous and potentially destructive to this country. There is no option.

reply

Hillary's not proposing banning certain religions, and she doesn't encourage violence.

reply

she doesn't encourage violence

So I guess that the 1500 dollars and an Iphone to whomever would interrupt a Trump Rally in a violent fashion is not encourage violence ...

Or the many times she said she want war with Russia ... yeah, you libtards know she said it

Preach. The news is all bs.. It would have been awesome, Trump writes material for him that they would have ripped him to shreds.

Tuck Frump!

My thoughts exactly, as I have been rewatching season 1. Do you remember the mock-debate where they are rehearsing serious questions to the nonsense that politicians say and are not allowed to do it for real? That would be needed now very much!

Well said - you nailed it.
