At first it was kinda promising
But when watch it till the end you start to realize all these woman actors overplayed their character roles. Like suddenly falling in love with a half-working cripple, and crying their eyes out. It was just not genuine and real at all.
I understand the director wanted audiences to cry, too, and feel bad for him. But come on, contribute something make some effort to genuine inter-character relations.
It's always easy to pick a vulnerable theme and just exploit it without any stake put into it. That's American movie industry right there.
