One of the funniest comedies ever made.

DIRTY GRANDPA is hysterically funny, with the great Robert De Niro giving arguably his best performance since TAXI DRIVER. I am sure he will receive an Oscar nomination next year. And let's hope Zac Efron also gets one. Aubrey Plaza, of course, deserves a nod for Best Supporting Actress. A screenplay nomination would be the cherry on the top. I don't think it will be nominated for best Film, but you never know?

What I terrific film this is, all round fantastic entertainment. I laughed so much the tears ran down my legs. In fact, everyone in the cinema was roaring with laughter from beginning to end, I want to watch it again asap so I can catch all the brilliant quips I missed because of the sound of non-stop raucous laughter in the cinema. The audinece clapped at the end. Sometimes Hollywood gets it right.

Perhaps I have poor taste Sabre? While the film was quite funny in places - and it gets extra points for the aight of a 70-something Robert De Niro wacking off to a porn video - I rated it 6 out of 10. I was joking in my first post. Just taking the piss.Nobody would, could or should get an Oscar nomination for this film.

While DIRTY GRANDPA was not as good as SCHINDLER'S LIST, it was a whole hell of a lot better than BATTLEFIELD EARTH - now that was "crap." And while BATTLEFIELD EARTH was also quite funny - albeit for all the wrong reasons, I laughed more at DIRTY GRANDPA.
