In the diner when Zac gives the girl the money thinking she is the waitress they quickly leave but leave the money on the table?!

That was done purposely. She used the money to pay for their own food bill. Thats why when her and her friends drove off, someone said something along the lines of, "thanks for lunch." Meaning his money was used to pay their bill. Good eye tho, sherlock.

That's normal. You leave money on the table and then take off. Unless you have to pay by debit/credit card then obviously you'll wait for the waiter/waitress.
