I have always been a big Woody fan but now my expectations and enthusiasm for his new films seem to have kind of evaporated. This could be worse than Scoop. The stories and characters seem repetitive to the point of ridicullousness. More expat Americans in search of love and meaning set in some pretty European postcard porn. Its more predictable than a ham sandwhich. This is no Midnight in Paris, which was at least surreal and funny. The logical step after this film would be for Allen to just give up features and start directing soaps or commercials for the Italian tourism board. And please, can someone tell him to stop acting in his own films.

This movie is much better than "Scoop". It was better than at least 40% of the movies he's made.

who are you to tell allen what to do. if you dont like them then dont watch. unless you are into s&m, of course...
