Woody needs to stop acting
Stay behind the camera, dude.
I'm happiest...in the saddle.
Woody Allen is an icon of cinema and his rushed anxious delivery is still imitated and parodied to this day.
I personally think he's still one of the funniest and most insightful men in the world.
OK, but he has no range as an actor. He just plays Woody Allen.
I'm happiest...in the saddle.
you're kidding right? he's been doing this for over forty years. if his performances were not intentionally self-reflexive, don't you think someone would have noticed by now and said something? that's the whole point bean town...
share...he's been doing this for over forty years
I totally disagree. I get upset when I realize he is not in one of his movies. I love that neurotic jewish sense of humor. LOVE IT! I want to see more of him and MORE of it!
shareOK, but he has no range as an actor. He just plays Woody Allen.
it may just be me but most people go to see a woody allen movie, when hes starring, to see woody be woody. i mean yeah a different character would be nice but more people would complain about the new character than him playing himself
about Jrdmln:im not sure whether the kid is mentally unstable or just loves to troll.
I love when he acts in his movies. I'm glad he is going to again.
Freak out in a moonage daydream oh yeah!
///He just plays Woody Allen. ///
He does it for decades. Stop, stop, for @#$%'s Sake.
Listen to your enemy, for God is talking
I think you should stay away from further Woody Allen films. His tense, fussy, fretful demeanor is his calling card.
Obviously Doctor, you've never been a thirteen year old girl.
He just repeats himself with no respite, and pity on his all-enduring adherents.
Listen to your enemy, for God is talking
There's no reason to have a wide range for his role here. You're an idiot if you think everyone has to play a Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood. They'd be overacting. Woody Allen acted the way he should've. He was good. Go learn some acting, and then, you'll appreciate it, you bum.
"When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die"-Bane
I'm happy to see him play a role again. No one delivers Woody Allen jokes like the man himself!
Open the door for Mr. Muckle!!
all i want to say is
"i heard you drowning so i finished my tea and scones and came to see if youre okay" (dialogue may not be exact)
no one couldve pulled that line off like woody though

i could never get tired of watching woody allen talk
shareHe brings the most natural delivery of his material to the screen that anyone. He always gets the laughs. I like seeing him on screen because he gets his own work like no other.
That said, I'm also happy many of the "younger Woody" replacements - Kenneth Branagh (Celebrity), Owen Wilson (Midnight in Paris), and I even thought Jesse Eisenberg was extremely natural and could be doing those "Woody" roles in future films.
I go to Woody Allen films to see Woody! When he's not in them, I don't enjoy them as well. I identify with his neuroticism, paranoias, and awkwardness! If you don't like Woody being Woody, then you shouldn't go to the films that he's starring in. For example, I hated John Wayne always playing John Wayne in his films, so I stopped watching his films and my life was content...that is until he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for "True Grit!"
shareWhy? I thought he was hilarious in this.
