..is briljant. Next to the singing parent in law, Roberto Benigni character story is hilarious.

i didn't really get the point of the benigni story. He just became famous somehow? Was that supposed to be some sort of comment on celebrity culture of what was it?
shareYes, I think that's what it is. I have to admit it was funny to see the reporters swooning over every word and action. And then I turn on some celebrity show and see the same thing about real celebs.
I didn't get how he became famous for a day though.
Yes, it is as simple as that! Begnini's character was famous for no reason.
And he was replaced by some guy who rode by on a bike, or was strolling along, doing nothing.
But much of a nuisance he felt the attention was, he missed it when it was gone.
His was my favorite storyline. He was perfect for that role!
shareI agree, his story and the shower tenor's story were the best parts of the movie. Roberto's character has it SPELLED OUT FOR HIM by the chauffeur, who explains the phenom of celebrity for celebrity's sake. I thought it was pretty obvious what was happening, and it didn't have to be explained by the chauffeur at all.
