the scenery
I will admit when watching the film how beautiful the scenery particularly the coleseum and the fountain in addition to the plaza.

shareI was in Rome five years ago and I enjoyed the movie because it took me back to all the places I was at. They even filmed in the park near Borghese Gallery. I love the part where they made Roberto Benigni a celebrity as the Italian press and Paparazzi hounded him. That is so Rome!
share...IMO was the best part of the movie. Rome appeared in all her finery.
shareI love the scene with the red car driving up along the ruins with the Roman aqueduct looming Ozymandias-like in the background, while the 1930s song "Non Dimenticar le mie Parole" plays on the soundtrack.
There's also the scene between Jack and Monica at the modernistic music auditorium, a scene which also boasts some great comic dialogue from Alec Baldwin's John character ("Go ahead. Walk into the propeller.")
