Deckard's "costume"

Just saw the film today and even though I loved it overall, I have one nitpick: Deckard's costume! It looks like Harrison Ford just got off the treadmill at the gym. I think it would have been a real crowdpleaser if Deckard had put on his iconic old trenchcoat, perhaps worn and tattered, to show the old and new blade runners side by side. Strange decision to just have him in a t-shirt and jeans, considering how good the other costumes looked.

Yeah, I agree, the sweat thing was overdone. But remember, Deckard was retired and at home, so why would he be wearing a jacket from 30 years ago?

i wouldn't be surprised if those are his actual clothes... I'm sure i've seen him wear those when he appeared on some shownwith David Blain, the magician...

This takes me back to all those discussions that went on about his shirt in the posters/promo pics. Funny stuff.

Anyway, it doesn’t seem strange to me that he wasn’t dressed as flashy as everyone else. Deckard is old, retired, and he basically doesn’t care how he looks. He was in his home after all not planning to go out or something. I do like the thought of him wearing his old trench coat, although... I don’t see his character being the type to keep that thing around 30 years later (and much less wear it). That would’ve been great fan service, yes, but there’s no other reason for him to wear if you ask me.
