Looks like Ford will be a supporting player again

Ryan gosling said that filming went on for months before Ford arrived on set. obviously at age 74 he is way passed his prime, so this isn't surprising, but I still hope he gets a decent amount of screen time.

Well, we also don't know what the story is. We presume that the premise revolves around the search for Deckard. The most interesting question will be, why Deckard is important at all...

Isn't it obvious? He's the last human.

True.

Even though he had a limited role in The Force Awakens, I felt it was enough...

I have no proof only Gosling's short comment but I think that Ford's role will
be even smaller in Blade Runner... mainly because The Force Awakens did not
have any other A list movie star in the cast.

You really can't compare John Boyega's and Daisy Ridley's career vs Ryan Gosling's.

I think they began filming for Blade Runner 2049 in July and Harrison Ford began his scenes in October and they finished production on November 20, although another poster has said there was more work to be completed on location in Bejing.

So I figure probably Ford's work on the picture amount's to maybe 4-6 weeks worth?

This was known fairly early on about the sequel production and that the Rick Deckard character there for Harrison Ford would only be appearing in and around the last third of the story-picture. Why the suprise ?? It's clearly a story about Ryan Gosling's part and new agents and new replicant's.
