Is Syd Mead involved in this movie?
A designer friend refered this movie to me, it was famous for Syd Mead's design work on this movie, It doesnt look like he is involved, trailer is vague, doesnt look anything special.
shareDon't think he is, but they have concept art that seems inspired by Syd Mead. They just finished shooting this movie last month. So probably only showed the footage that was non revealing and finished. It's more of a teaser than an actual trailer, reason I say that is because nothing is actually revealed...in terms of the plot. We just know goslings going to find deckard. The movie may not be as retro as the first. This certainly seems more minimalistic. Its set many years later so the world of Blade Runner has changed a bit. This movie was made in the present, and not in the 1980s...so it may indeed feel more modern and less retro.
I just hope people are still smoking those fancy cigarettes in 2049.
