i was good at it....

Harrison says he was a good Blade Runner in the trailer but was he.

Spoilers and all but in the original he was tasked with killing four replicants.
Two Guys, Two Girls.

The two girls kicked the *beep* out of him three ways from Sunday.
The only reason he was able to kill them was because he had a gun and they didn't.

Now he used a gun against the two guys. In both instances the guys disarmed him almost immediately.

The one replicant Leon, was about to kill Harrison when he got saved by Rachael shooting the guy in the back.

When he went up against Roy, not only did he not kill him but Roy ended up saving his life and sparing him.

The point is when you think about it, Harrison was a pretty terrible Blade Runner.

i told you not to stop, now lets go - Apocalypse Now

Can't really disagree with that, maybe he finally met his match with those replicants? He kind of got his butt kicked throughout the movie. We know he fights gosling in the new one, so question is...who walks away, or do both come to an agreement.

Bryant said he was good.

I get the impression Deckard used to hunt earlier models of replicants which may have been easier to deal with.

The Nexus 6 models were stuff they hadn't really dealt with or had much experience with before.
Holden was supposed to be good too, but Leon got the jump on him as well.

He is good at running the Voight-Kampff test and spotting a masquerading replicant. Not punching out or shooting up a machine.

@craktoot,

The only reason he was able to kill them was because he had a gun and they didn't.
He was basically going after 4 Terminators, what did you want him to use, his fists? They were desperate to live and be free at any cost, so I don't think sweet talking them would work either.

Also, he was called back into active duty in the first film, so the movie was set at the end/after his formal career, cause he had left. So, we didn't see anything before that, which is were he could have established how good he was at being a Blade Runner, and why they selected him to do the particular job in the first movie.

I'm sure if you write letters, they do about 5 prequel films for you to explain it all. Or, you could just go back and watch the first movie.

He was already a veteran by that point. Perhaps even past his prime and out of his depth with these new models.
