His dead eyes, non-existent expression, how does he even have a career?? He is the worst.
shareHe's a good actor, but he does seem to be getting worse lately. He's given some great performances in the past, but they all seem to be ages ago. He seems wooden in everything he does now.
I think after awhile, actors just start to become a parody of themselves.

as the poster above me said, you obviously haven't seen Lars and the Real Girl, Half Nelson, or even Blue Valentine. he was great in all of those.
shareI also second Half Nelson, he's incredible in that film. Blue Valentine was also fantastic, and while The Nice Guys was by no means a masterpiece, I thought he gave a good comedic performance, which isn't a genre you typically see from him.
Half Nelson is by far his best performance, and I highly recommend watching that at least before judging his acting.
