this will fail
It was never popular back in the day and still isn't.

Its not popular bc it requires a really mature audience... Ill admit i thought it was garbage when i saw it the first time but as i matured i gave it another shot and its a really deep movie full of themes about the value of life
shareDon't care if it bombs, it's more important that they make a good movie for Blade Runner fans. I have no interest in seeing Blade Runner become a mainstream hit series or take off into some kind of multi part series. This one sequel is enough, after that just leave it alone. Thats why I hope people who aren't like me hate it, because if it doesn't bomb they will just make more.
shareIt wasn't popular when it came out in 1981 because the audience was expecting Star Wars-like sci-fi movie (Harrison Ford), but they got immersed into a dystopian depressing future. That's why they hated it, they weren't prepared. Years later it has become a classic and inspired many movies, Ghost in the Shell is basically a rip off. Today people are ready for it. I was hyped when I heard Denis Villeneuve was directing but when I saw Harrison and his T-shirt I'm starting to have a bad feeling about it. I came to hate Ford passionately.

Thank god you weren't around when the wheel was invented.
Whatever you are, be a good one.
