Views on the film and the trailer.

I think it's important to go into this film with a very open mind. Ridley Scott claims that BR was never meant to be a standalone film. Now, we know Scott's judgement calls haven't always been the best; however, the current team assembled is very strong. Denis Villeneuve has been responsible for some of the best films in recent years. In addition, we get the original director overlooking the project, Hollywood's most talented DP, the original screenwriter, and even some original ideas omitted from the first film. It's also posible that they used some vital elements from 'Electric Sheep.'

As the trailer is concerned, I think it shows too much. It could be said that it's another victim of the current trend; showing the whole film in the trailer. On the other hand, we didn't see Luke Skywalker in The Force Awakens trailer. Having said that, hopefully the showcasing of Deckard entails that he's a part of something much bigger in the film. Something that'll be more important than the age long rep or not rep debate.
