Looks very beautiful and very pointless. Harrison should not be in this.

I was getting into the trailer until Harrison Ford popped up. They should have just left him out. Not only does it ruin the point of the first film, but Ford just was not the same in that 2 second scene. He gave a very subtle and nuanced performance in Blade Runner that alluded to the fact that he is probably a replicate. This was just old man Ford coming to reprise a role, which worked better for charismatic people like Indy and Han. Hell it looked like they just went to his house to film the scene.

He should have just been left out of the film entirely. It is a glaring problem that completely craps all over the original.

It's a little early to be making wild speculations like that. He might make a meaningful impact to the film. The director has said that blade runner is one of his favorite films and that he'd work as hard as possible to not disrespect its memory while also making a significant contribution to the universe. I think you shold hold off on passing judgement on this a little longer.

The Ford segment was filmed only for the trailer. It's not part of the movie.

Deckard shouldn't be this important that they need to go look for him 30 years after the last events. He was just a cop. A tool. Something that is replaceable. The Blade Runner that I know wouldn't care about those things, just like the rain didn't care. It makes the Blade Runner universe a small place, a family affair, like the sequels of Star Wars. And that's why the premise 'The Search For Deckard' is somewhat anti-Blade Runner.

I agree with you, CremersAlex. They should have a very good reason for including Deckard in the plot. I have a hunch he is either a hologram or a VR simulacrum. It would be an interesting way to bring the character back while keeping the skin job question nebulous.

No matter where you go, there you are.

Whatever you say, Sarris.

Whatever you are, be a good one.
