Even if they get everything else right like the look of the film/script/acting/editing/pacing/visual effects/sound design etc. I think they will 100% screw up the score. Vangelis' music was pure magic and it WAS Blade Runner. It made the film.

I agree it made the film but if he tried again to recapture the magic it would be forced and not the same, a bit like trying on old clothes...

A real pity Vangelis is not making the music. It was part of the essential soul of BR, which without it, it'd be necessarily a different thing. It's as if Star Wars music was replaced by any other's not being John Williams. For me, a big mistake.

I wouldn't worry. The people involved are well aware of the importance of the look, feel and sound necessary here. It's in good hands.

With all due respect, Jóhann Jóhannsson has done a great job with his scores. The music for Arrival was spot on with the theme of the film.

Watch the official trailer teaser. The themes are being reused, at least the main theme is.

The composer is Jóhann Jóhannsson, so it's kida stupid to think they definitely gonna fk the score up
