After watching Westworld, it's a tough act to follow, Blade Runner 2049.

Westworld goes quite in-depth on the experience of what it's like to be an artificial human. Blade Runner 2049 has a challenge, to deliver just as good or better in the span of two-hours.

Westworld was not bad show but the setting was pretty meh for me. I've seen the western setting too many times and the Blade Runner futuristic cyberpunk world is far interesting to me.

With Blade Runner you have to go 'in-depth' yourself, the film does not hand you the content on a silver platter. With other words, the character don't do the thinking for you.

Exactly. It pretended to have a depth it never had. Westworld is like Blade Runner for poor people.

Westworld is garbage.

I kept trying to lie to myself for the first five episodes that it was actually good and had something interesting to say, but I cannot deny it any longer (especially after the entire season).

The show sucks.

So, in my very humble opinion, this new BR doesn't have to do much to be the better AI story.

Also, why do ppl/critics keep saying WW is a story that really "understands what it's like to be AI". Like AI are an actual group of ppl in reality that have been marginalized? It's frekn weird.
