Thought on character names
Gosling's character is named K and Ana de Armas' is Joi, as in J & K. Could that be a hint on alphabetical model names for replicants?
I guess Nexus was getting old when they reached #37.

In the original, the name Rick Deckard was a play on the name of philosopher René Descartes. Descartes was even quoted by Pris saying 'I think, therefore, I am'. Descartes believed that the only thing that can be known for certain is that if you think, you must exist, and that everything else could be in illusion. Using Descartes in the film, for me, makes the ambiguity about Deckard possibly being a replicant more interesting.
I was thinking that the title of Officer K could be inspired by Kafka, and that possibly indicates Kafkaesque philosophical underpinnings to the sequel. Kafka often used the letter K in the names of his characters, such as Joseph K. I hope so. I was hoping that they would be keeping a philosophical undertone to the sequel, but using different ideas, rather than going over what's in the first film.
I may be wildly wrong though.
hey dude, thanks for the interesting info!
