I think if there was one actor today that could pull a Roy Batty, it would be Mads Mikkelsen. Of course, I'd rather watch a movie that's completely different but I think Mads has the same gravitas.

Fassbender? I think he has shown to have that subtle intensity necessary for a Batty-esque role. But of course, a totally different role is preferable.
While I agree both Mikkelsen and Fassbender are in an elite class of their own, the role of Roy Batty, as a "super-human", would require someone of a much more commanding physical presence; no less than 6 foot with an equally imposing frame. Neither of these men meet these criteria, imho.
Rutger Hauer is a naturally big man, no gym or supplements!
