Complete episodes or arcs?

Is this one of those tv shows where episodes arch into others like 24? Or is each episode complete? Thank you for any help.

Very much a singular, on-going narrative throughout all the episodes.

Sorry but I don't quite understand your reply . . .. ."an on-going narrative sounds" sounds like arc but then you also said "singular".. . . so is each episode complete or not?

Total arc and needs to be watched from the first episode,first season.

Oh, bummer. . .I hate that. Too much remember. I prefer single complete episodes. Back to Law & Order. ;)

You will probably like will and grace too. Very little continues. Mostly episode by episode from what I have seen so far and I have watched more then half of it.
