Was it a requirement for Season 2 that all the female cast members pop their boobs out and show as much cleavage as possible.....???

Gotta agree with ya, it's sort of ridiculous. I think Calista got a boob job, and quite honestly they are too big for her size and frame (hence they look like superglued softballs instead of, ya know, real boobs).
I guess it all just adds to the b-movie corny-ness of this show. Don't get me wrong, I like the show, but it borders upon being like a home made movie at times.
I even noticed Pilgrim is wearing a belly shirt. Uh... isn't she a police detective, who is pretty much always on duty when she's on camera? Good grief.
shareagreed, pilgrim's tops are visibly and obviously a strategic shift from last season, to make her more attractive, and to justify her as an object of lust by her fellow cop hanger-on.
either she's showing her navel, or every top is now open at the top. last season, she was more modestly dressed, which frankly, better suited her personality.

This is straight from the book. She even makes a point of mentioning it when she's listing reasons why she should be Walker's partner.

I don't think she got a boob job; it's just the way that costume pushes her boobs up, and Olesya Rulin is hot, so I'm not complaining.

shareNaw, you can always tell, especially if you ever have a girlfriend with fake boobs. When fake boobs get pushed up (like a push up bra) there is a visible shadow line that is almost too perfectly round where the implants are pushing against the skin of the upper chest. You can really see it in Calista's flying shots. Natural boobs squish and transition fairly smoothly when pushed up, so there there is no contour line where the implant ends and the skin begins. It's hard to explain, but once you know what it is, it's really obvious.

I'm on S2E02 and Pilgrim does seem enhanced somehow, she didn't carry those in S1, unless they were taping them down for whatever reason.
Callista grew up from last season, and perhaps she also got enhanced, who really knows. She's looking damn hot.
