shareThis is unlike any other MCU movie (a Great spy-Thriller) :)
shareA bonafide political/spy thriller but with superheroes... and it’s as remarkable as it sounds.
No one had expected anything like this from the Russo brothers (who were mostly known for their work on Arrested Development) or Marvel/Disney in general. But man, were everyone’s expectations shattered!
This is a hard-edged and simply astonishing film. The acclaimed action choreography in it has to be the best in any CBM (sorry Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, but as thrilling as several of the Batman fighting scenes are, I don’t think they come close to The Winter Soldier in terms of both execution and intensity). I cannot wait to experience it on IMAX soon!
Just re-watched this last night and still blown away. Things also started to make sense too after seeing Endgame and Cap Marvel as I laughed out loud when Samuel L Jackson said, "The last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye." I couldn't stop laughing, because he was so serious when he said that and we didn't know at the time how he lost it.
Winter Soldier is the best out of the bunch for me and a great stand alone film for Captain America's Ass.
It's extremely well done, but the premise doesn't make much sense. Sure, SHIELD is infiltrated by Hydra, and the bad guys want to take over. I just don't see that many people (even bad guys) signing up for a plan to gun down a million opposition leaders to take over. Even Hydra would have some guys in the middle ranks saying that's cray-cray, and they would knock off the leaders to implement a more subtle plan.
shareThis is a comic book movie, not a thriller
